Of all the adventures I go on every year, there is one I look forward to more than Christmas. It is an exhausting combination of intense tests of endurance and strictly regimented leisure. It is getting woken up by the sound of pots and pans at 6am, taking our showers with a hose, pushups, cliff jumping, blueberry picking, lobster cooking, hiking, squid hunting, boat racing, and small town clubbing - all to the backdrop of meteor showers in a bioluminescent infested, farm fresh, middle-earth looking wilderness.
We call it Jeff Church's bootcamp, and it started 6 years ago when my friend Kevie and I went to stay at Jeff's parent's house in Southwest Harbor, ME. As years past, more and more friends joined the annual trip, flying in from places as far flung as Copenhagen and Los Angeles. These pictures document some of the mischief and merriment that ensued throughout the years.
